Personal Statement

My eldest daughters Erin and her younger sister Isla had 7 rewarding years at St Bridget’s my son Jude started at St Bridget's in 2019 and is very happy here.

I’m very proud to be the CEO of Claire House Children’s Hospice. I therefore have significant experience of working across the public and charity sectors and of leadership in often difficult circumstances. I work with a Board of Trustees very similar to the way St Bridget’s operates with its Governors – in other words, I’m in Mr Le Feuvre’s shoes in my day job.

At the risk of sounding a bit boring, I’m adept at generating funding and managing complex budgets and I hope that this is useful in the role.

I believe society should strive to give our children every chance to reach their potential – and at Claire House we do our best to help the children we work with to achieve their dreams despite their illness. I bring this passion to the role of Parent Governor on behalf of all  children at St Bridget’s.

I love living in West Kirby – and the outdoor life.  Alongside family and work, I enjoy running, cycling and mountain walking, but not all at the same time!
